New Snow for the Cascades

Update

It feels like winter is coming at us, fast.
Unsettled weather will continue the next few days with a series of storms delivering the goods. Snow levels will be moderate 4,000 – 5,000 ft. That means snow for some of the mid-elevation slopes and all of the upper slopes.
Snow accumulation will be 2-7” on the mid slopes and 10”- 18” on the upper slopes through Saturday. Sunday and Monday will see the snow level creep upward. Some, not all, of this new snowfall will stick around and start to create a minor base mainly for the upper elevations.
For the middle and end of next week, we will see a drying trend. After that, the weather will become more active for late October into November.
