Powder Alert: Snowy Sunday & Epic Sunday

Summary

A robust storm will increase snow over the mountains for Sunday. When you arrive there will be 1-3” of snow, but the heavy snow will come during the day. Visibility may be difficult at times and wind may be a problem with lift operations. There will be more snow during the day, continuing overnight on Sunday night into Monday. With a low snow level and abundant snowfall, excellent conditions are possible on Sunday, with epic skiing on Monday. Clearing periods will develop later in the week.

Short Term Forecast

Expect to ski with snow falling all day on Sunday, with 3-7” during the day and another 4-8” after the lifts close into Monday morning. The snow level will be low on Sunday (2,500-3,000ft) for good quality turns on and off-piste. The big day will be Monday with a snow level of 1000 ft for excellent quality and all the new snow from Sunday and early Monday.

There will be partial clearing on Monday by lunchtime with wonderful skiing. Tuesday will have outstanding leftovers, with perfect groomers, so the fun continues. There may be a little light snow later Tuesday, but not significant. Much of the rest of the week will see some sunshine, great groomers, and fantastic leftovers.

Extended Forecast

Skiing will be great all week with the new snow and perfect groomers. Get out and enjoy. Thursday through the early part of the weekend will see partial clearing with sunshine at times. There is a chance of snow late in the weekend.
