Big snow refresh coming

Summary

Big snows are coming later in week. Prepare for deep pwder skiing and a fabulous improver base. There will be some modest snow coming today and tonight (2-5”). That will help with a minor refresh around NW ski areas.

Short Term Forecast

A weak system sliding south today, will leave some partial clearing and with a little new snow for early Monday. However, no significant snow is expected Monday and Tuesday.

Extended Forecast

By Wednesday, into next weekend, a very snowy pattern evolves. Thursday through Sunday will see 1-3ft of snow with snow level 1000-2000ft – so it looks like quantity and quality. The weather computer graphic below shows the heavy snow to come later in the week. Expect a major snowfall event for several days - prepare for launch.
