Update

Powder on Saturday

Snow began to fall around 400am and the summit snow stake cam already shows 2 inches as I write this at about 530am.

Expect steady and intense snow through Saturday morning and then snow showers will continue through Saturday afternoon.

Total accumulations should be 5-10 inches with maybe more snow if a few stronger cells track over the mountain.

The snow quality will be back to our typical light and fluffy powder thanks to the cold temperatures following the passage of the cold front on Saturday morning.

Have fun!

Saturday night

The latest models keep some snow around on Saturday evening, so perhaps we’ll have a little refresh with additional low-end powder amounts on Sunday morning. Keep your eye on the snow stake cam to see if the snow continues!

Beyond

Expect light snow from Sunday evening through Tuesday with additional snow later next week from about Friday through Saturday (February 22-23). Both of these systems should track well south of Colorado and that likely means lighter snow here in northern Colorado.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
