Snow flakes forecast every day through Saturday

Summary

A deep trough of low pressure centered over Idaho continues to bring more snow to Central Idaho every day this week. Sun Valley has gotten 7"+ in the last couple of days, with more snow to come Thursday and Saturday before sunshine returns to close the season on Easter day on Sunday. Best chance of new snow will come Thursday-Saturday, with 3-8" possible through that period.

Update

Sun Valley is finishing off the season with some fresh snow almost every day! (photo courtesy Sun Valley Resort).

GFS ensemble weather model forecast for Central Idaho through Sunday shows Sun Valley right on the edge of 3.5" + that could double depending on how the snow storms play out Thursday and Saturday. Higher snow totals are likely at Galena Summit and the Sawtooths for backcountry skiers/riders.

Thanks for reading ... my next forecast will be on Saturday, April 16.
