Summary
The Tetons will receive a few flurries to light snow showers on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of our next accumulating storm on Wednesday night. Moderate to heavy will fall through Thursday afternoon, followed by another round on Friday. We should catch a small break on Saturday morning before another system moves through on Saturday night and into Sunday. Active weather continues next week.
Details
Tuesday - Wednesday: Seasonal temperatures will be draped over Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee on Tuesday and Wednesday as we await the arrival of our next accumulating storm. Decent amounts of moisture, along with a few weak disturbances, will also stream across the region creating a few flurries to light snow showers. We are not expecting much of anything in terms of accumulations but don't be surprised to see a few flakes flying from time-to-time.
Wednesday Night - Thursday: All eyes will then turn to Wednesday night as our next system begins to make its way into the region. This storm will be lead be a fairly strong cold front, followed by increased amounts of moisture and continued west to northwest flow aloft. At this point, we are looking at a 3-6 inch event for both Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole through Thursday evening. Come Thursday night, a few flurries will linger but we should see a small break in the action.
Friday: Another quick moving system will be on our first storms heels for Friday. The main pulse of energy could miss us to our south but we are still looking at another 1-3 inches through Friday evening.
Saturday - Sunday: More moisture, along with continuous west to northwest flow, will bring yet another round of good accumulations through the weekend. This system will be working with increased amounts of moisture compared to Wednesday night through Friday so we'll need to watch this closely over the next few days. Overall, we could we looking at another 3-6 inch event through Sunday evening. Here's a look at the total accumulated snowfall according to the American GFS through Sunday. See the color scale on the right for the matching total in inches.

In total, we are looking at 12+ inches over the four day period. Thursday through Sunday should all be soft and fun days up on the hills so plan to get out there if you can!
Next Week & Beyond: All signs are pointing towards active weather continuing into next week. We could see a slight break on Monday but we should be full go for more snow through the middle of next week. I'll have more details over the coming days. I am then becoming more and more optimistic about a strong finish to January and start to February. We shall see...
Thanks for reading and have a great Tuesday!
