Summary
We will see a few showers linger across the mountains on Monday but accumulations will be very light. Mostly dry weather and valley inversions will then push in on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before snow returns on Thursday night or early Friday. We could then be looking at another great period for snowfall, with moderate to heavy snow falling through next weekend.
Details
It's a powder day in the Teton Range as both Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole are reporting 6 inches of fresh powder over the past 24 hours! This puts us right in the middle of yesterday's forecast of 4-8 inches. Before I move onto the forecast, I quickly wanted to show this webcam image of the full moon setting over the Tetons this morning!

This webcam is located at the Teton Science School - Kelly Campus and even though Jackson has many great webcams, this one might be my favorite.
Okay, lets dive into the forecast...
Monday: Northwest flow will keep the chance for light showers going across the Tetons on Monday but accumulations will be very light if anything. With almost a foot of snow over the past 48 hours, the conditions will be excellent so just get out there and ski!
Tuesday - Thursday: Mostly dry conditions will prevail during the middle of the week, with valley inversions also coming back into play. This will keep temperatures much colder in the valleys compared to up high on the hills. I'll show you an example when one comes up on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. I should also mention that we will get a good pulse of moisture move across the area on Wednesday. This will give us a slight chance for light snow on the mountains but accumulations will be a trace at best.
Next Weekend: Then beginning on Thursday night or Friday morning, a very moist westerly flow will setup across the region. This will bring us chances for heavy snow through at least next Sunday. Just for reference, here's a look at the precipitation output according to the American GFS through next Sunday, January 31st. See the color scale on the right for the matching total in inches.

The finer details will need to be adjusted over the next few days but we could be looking at another weekend full of big morning reports and DEEP powder skiing at Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole. Bring it!
Longer Outlook: As I mentioned yesterday, it then looks like a 'colder and stormier' pattern will move into the western US for the first week of February. This will keep snow in the forecast through at least February 4th or so.
That's all for today but have a great powder Monday and we'll chat again on Tuesday morning!
