Thursday Update

Update

We have a weak storm system that will brush northern Utah today.  A few high elevation snow showers will be possible, but accumulations will be minor at best.  We start to clear out for Friday into the weekend with high pressure in control. Mostly sunny skies and warm conditions on the hill this weekend.

Early next week we will start to see systems try to nose their way into the west coast but high pressure will likely win this battle, at least initially.  Clouds and maybe a chance for a few light showers early next week.

Stronger systems may have better luck later next week to penetrate across the Great Basin and into Utah.  These system will have plenty of moisture but details remain unclear on timing and strength.  Not much cold air so snow levels should remain elevated late next week.

I'm going to give models another day to try to find some agreement...
