Snow!

Update

REMINDER: ALL UTAH SKI AREAS ARE CLOSED.

Snow is falling across much of Northern Utah this morning. Expect snow to continue for much of the morning, then perhaps taper off during the afternoon. A reinforcing shot of snow will push in tonight into Thursday. Overall, we've already seen anywhere from 2-8" with this storm. Snowbasin showing around 10" overnight:

This morning, we should add another 3-6", then with this next wave, we could see 4-8", with higher amounts possible in NW flow favored areas. Overall totals should therefore be in the 10-20" range with higher amounts possible.

The temperatures have also fallen since yesterday and will continue to do so thru tomorrow. This snow is right-side-up and will be fluffy on top tomorrow. Not a bad spring storm.

Looking ahead, we generally enter a break Friday into the weekend, although some light mountain showers are possible. We could see a few weak systems next week that brush northern Utah. I don't see anything significant at this time, but light refreshes are possible.
