Some Snow Showers, Light Accumulation

Summary

We have two weak systems that will move through Utah this week. Neither should do much more than bring a few snow showers and maybe a light refresher. High pressure takes control for the weekend into next week.

Short Term Forecast

We have a pathetic little splitting scrap of a storm moving across the region later today (Monday) into tonight. It was weak yesterday when I wrote my forecast, then it showed a bit more potential in yesterday's afternoon runs, but now it looks even weaker than it did yesterday morning. I think anything more than a couple inches by tomorrow morning and we can consider ourselves lucky. Here it is in all its glory:

Perhaps the best snowfall will be down at Eagle Point/Brian Head.

We have a break late Tuesday thru early Thursday, then another weak wave moves through. At this point, it looks similar and I think we can really only expect a couple inches here and there.

I suppose the good news is that we at least have something, which means there's a possibility of these overperforming. We also will have cold temperatures, so we can continue to make snow to supplement the bountiful glory of these pathetic storms.

Extended Forecast

High pressure develops this weekend and everything thereafter looks like a hot, steaming pile of ****. Really, I don't see much hope for anything for the first couple weeks of December other than perhaps very weak storm energy here or there. Major snowfall is proving to be elusive.
