Tuesday Update

Summary

Snow showers continue today as our storm system moves through the region. We clear up later this evening through the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Update

Snow showers this morning as our system continues to work its way through the state. The system performed pretty much as expected. Total for Northern Utah mountains range from 2 to 7". Highest amounts are in BCC where they reported 6-7". Much colder air is in place today behind yesterday's cold front. I was over 80F at my house for several days this week, now I have about half an inch of snow. Spring in Utah!

We could see an additional several inches today in areas favored in NW flow before we see clearing later this afternoon. We should be high and dry for the rest of the week, into the weekend with warming temps as high pressure re-establishes control.

A quick look at next week shows that we could see storm energy return, but models are all over the place with details.
