Update

Saturday

We are waking up to clearing skies, cold temperatures around 0F, and 4 inches of new snow that fell on Friday and Friday evening. Three of the four inches fell on Friday night after lifts closed when the wind switched to blow from the favorable northwest direction, so you’ll enjoy this untouched powder on Saturday morning! We should see sunshine through at least the first part of the day with temperatures rising into the upper single digits or low teens by early afternoon. On Saturday night, there could be times of light snow showers though I think accumulations will be very light.

Sunday to Wednesday

We should see dry and partly sunny weather as storms stay well to the north of Colorado though there is always a chance for a few flurries if some of this energy works further south. Temperatures will rise a few degrees each day with highs in the low 20s on Sunday and making it into the 30s by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday & Friday

Late next week, we might see light-to-moderate snow as some of the energy to our north drops south into Colorado. Stay tuned for details.

Longer Range

My confidence is increasing that the next significant storm will arrive around Saturday night or Sunday, March 2-3, snow could last into Monday or Tuesday (March 4-5), and storm chances could continue through at least March 10th.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
