Vail Daily Snow

Update
On Sunday during the day, snow fell but accumulations were only about 1-2 inches. Then on Sunday afternoon, a cold front arrived and we saw a burst of snow right around sunset with more snow through the night on Sunday. Total snowfall from the storm came in at 8 inches, which was in the range of my forecast of 5-10 inches.
Now on Monday morning, you’ll find soft snow across the mountain thanks to the 5-6 inches of new snow that fell on Sunday night. Through the day, expect clouds, more snow showers, and eventually maybe some breaks of sunshine.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be dry with high temperatures in the 20s and at least partly sunny skies.
Then we have a very good chance of seeing significant snow from Thursday night through Sunday thanks to the combination of multiple storms, a cold front, and the jet stream. Snow totals should be over one foot and the best chance for the deepest powder should be on Saturday and Sunday. I’ll provide more details during the next few days leading up to this series of storms.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
