Vail Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Vail Daily Snow

Sometimes it’s a game of inches, and in this case at least part of Vail was in the right place at the right time! After a dry start to the day on Monday, light to moderate snow begin to fall during the day, then a period of very heavy snow fell late on Monday afternoon and Monday night. It appears that the heaviest snow fell in a narrow area, favoring the west side of Vail Mountain, and based on the snow report and webcams I theorize that the west side (Lionshead, Game Creek, Sundown Bowl) could be much deeper than the far eastern areas of the mountain (Mongolia Bowl, etc). That’s only a theory, though, so please go out and see for yourself! I hope you find the deepest snow:-)

Now on Tuesday morning, I expect some light snow mixed with dry weather, and then we could see the snow pick back up late on Tuesday through midday Wednesday. After this, we’ll see a weak storm from Thursday afternoon through Friday midday and another storm cycle with light to moderate accumulations from Sunday through next Tuesday February 9th.
