Update

Friday

We saw 2 inches on Thursday night as some of the more intense snow stayed just to the south. We should see snow continue through the day and I am expecting 2-6 inches, on the low end if most of the cells miss the mountain, on the higher end if cells track right over the mountain.

Friday Night

We could see snow continue through the evening with another few inches, then we should see the snow end for a time around midnight as a cold front stalls over southern Wyoming and keeps most of the snow to the north of the mountain.

Saturday

The first half of Saturday could offer lighter snow as we’ll be in between the cold front to the north and the stronger energy to the south.

Then during Saturday midday or afternoon, snow should ramp up as the energy increases and the cold front approaches.

For the best snow, expect some freshies for first chair if we do get snow on Friday evening, and then expect softer conditions later in the day as the snow ramps up.

Saturday Night + Sunday

We should see the most snow on Saturday night through the first half of Sunday with 5-10 inches, or maybe more. Temperatures will also be cooling during this time so the snow quality should improve and become fluffy by Sunday morning. My pick for the deepest powder during the next few days is Sunday morning and a few inches should accumulate after the 500am morning report.

Next Week

Monday and Tuesday should be dry, then snow will likely return on Wednesday and Thursday (March 6-7). Another storm should arrive around Friday and Saturday (March 8-9) and it’s possible that we could see two storms during the following week. Woohoo!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
