Showers on Tuesday & Wednesday

Summary

Monday brought snow showers with no meaningful accumulation, and we should see additional showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Short Term Forecast

Reminder: The Winter Park side is closed, and Mary Jane will remain open through Sunday, May 9.

On Monday, the storm tracked over Colorado and we saw clouds with chilly temperatures in the 20s, though the snow showers that fell out of these clouds did not create any meaningful accumulation.

Now on Tuesday morning, snow showers are done yet clouds are lingering.

On Tuesday afternoon and again on Wednesday afternoon, additional showers should pop up. These showers could miss the mountain or deliver a random 1-4 additional inches of snow if they happen to track directly over the mountain.

Winter will lose its grip later in the week as we see dry and warm weather on Thursday and Friday with on-mountain high temperatures in the 50s.

Extended Forecast

On Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, yet another spring storm will arrive with showers and the chance for accumulating snow. But closing day will be on Sunday, May 9 so the lift-serviced season will come to an end even though the atmosphere will keep snow falling from the sky.

As for the Winter Park Daily Snow, I will post my final update for the season on Wednesday, May 5.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
