February 2018 Snowpack Update

The map below shows the current snowpack compared to average, with data from the backcountry weather station network known as SNOTEL.

The following Base Depth vs. Average graphs are available to OpenSnow All-Access users for nearly every mountain location in the western US and Canada. Here are five locations with the deepest snowpacks (compared to the 30-year average) in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.
