Summary

An active start to the new season as yet another very wet Pacific system is shaping up to deliver big.

Short Term Forecast

Snow beginning on this final day of winter Sunday continues into the first day of spring Monday, this associated with a weak disturbance accompanied by moist flow. Yield Monday with a 2-4" down for first chair and up to another 4-6" through the day, borderline wind hold.

All this precedes the main event Tuesday. Seen in satellite a developing Gulf of Alaska low with a long fetch of tropical moisture. The system develops further Monday as a well defined low  off the PacNW diving down CA Tuesday with deep moisture taking aim at AZ. Tuesday will be dumping with increasing winds through the day, howling Tuesday night into Wednesday morning diminishing through the day. Wednesday morning looking at nearly 2' of new snow with showers and wind diminishing through the dayLight snow lingers Thursday.

Extended Forecast

Active western storm track remains in tact through the 2 week forecast, nothing big, but refreshes aplenty, stay tuned.
