Monday - Friday

We’ll be tracking three distinct waves of snowfall through next weekend, with the first two waves coming on Monday and into Tuesday, followed by the second from Tuesday night through Thursday.

For the first wave, expect snowfall to ramp up around midday Monday, with the heaviest snowfall rates on Monday afternoon and evening. Last chair Monday and first chair Tuesday could offer soft turns with 2-4 inches.

Following a slight break on Tuesday, we’ll then be tracking a stronger wave from Tuesday night through Wednesday. Temps will also be cooler so we can expect a fluffier snow quality. In total, we’ll go with an early forecast of 4-8 inches, with the best turns around midday Wednesday and first chair Thursday.

We’ll then be watching for additional snow showers on Thursday and Friday with light totals and temps only climbing into teens.

Travel Forecast

Dry road surfaces will remain in place on Sunday. Expect normal travel speeds outside of typical weekend traffic through Sunday evening.

Wet, slick, and slushy road surfaces will return on Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday. Plan to give yourself a little extra travel time on Tuesday morning.

Icy, slushy, and snow-packed road surfaces will then form on Tuesday night and remain in place through Thursday morning. Travel impacts can be expected, especially on Wednesday.

Wet, slick, and slushy road surfaces will then remain in place for Thursday and Friday. Overall, it’s a very busy week so plan to give yourself plenty of extra travel time.

We're entering that time of year when the higher sun angle really begins to be our friend in regards to clearing snowy road surfaces during the midday hours. Heavy snowfall rates can still overcome this higher sun angle so always remember to take it slow and give yourself extra travel time while driving during heavy snow.

Extended Forecast

Next Weekend & Beyond
