Steamboat Daily Snow

January 25, 2020 7:24am MST

Update

Friday offered soft turns, mostly cloudy skies, and a high temperature in the 20s.

On Friday night, a weak storm moved over northern Colorado and dropped 1-2 inches of snow on the mountain.

Now on Saturday morning, we may see a few more snow showers though accumulations should be little or nothing additional.

Saturday afternoon through Sunday should be a mix of sunshine, clouds, and maybe a few light snow showers. Temperatures will rise into the upper 20s on Saturday and into the low 30s on Sunday.

Looking ahead to the next two weeks, it’s generally all good news.

For the last week of January, we should see three chances for snow around Monday, January 27th, Wednesday, January 29th, and Friday, January 31st. Each of these storms should bring at least a few inches of snow. No single day could be a deep powder day, but consistency is king (something my childhood tennis coach tried to put into my brain) and conditions should be soft through all of next week.

Following the active week, the atmosphere will take a quick break and we should see dry and warm weather from about Saturday, February 1 to Monday, February 3.

Then, the period from Tuesday, February 4 through at least Saturday, February 8th looks active with multiple storms heading toward Colorado, and these storms could be stronger than the systems that we’ll see between January 27-31st.
