We are beginning to see high clouds stream into the area on Friday morning as copious amounts of moisture push into Colorado from the southwest. We will stay mostly sunny through early Friday afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 40s, before partly to mostly cloudy skies settle in by Friday evening.

Come Friday night and into Saturday, we will begin to see showery precipitation fall across the mountain but this will not be the right kind of precipitation for our sake. Warm temperatures will keep snow levels around 10,000 feet, which will give us rain for the lower 2/3rds of the mountain and a heavy, wet snow for the upper 1/3rd of the mountain. For the rest of closing weekend, we will see highs in the 30s and low 40s, with a mix of cloudy skies and off-and-on showers. We could see the precipitation pick up slightly on Saturday afternoon and into Saturday evening but any accumulations will stay rather light for the upper 1/3rd of the mountain. No matter what, closing weekend will still be a blast!
