Weekend Storm Delivered for Southern Lakes, More Snow Thursday

    1 day ago Mike O'Connor

Southern Lakes scored 25–32 cm from a weekend storm, perfect for Treble Cone’s opening. Sunday cleared nicely, with a light dusting overnight. Canterbury had rain but still saw 10–15 cm. Ruapehu was hit by rain and wind, though the snowpack held. Calm weather lasts through midweek before a front brings snow and rain to the South Island and more wind and rain to Ruapehu on Thursday.
