Our storm is bringing snow to the mountains (and valleys) of Utah today. A break Wednesday before we see a weak storm brush far northern Utah on Thursday. Another weak system for Saturday.
Snow is intensifying over Utah on Tuesday morning with 3-6 inches for most mountain locations along or north of I-80. The Cottonwoods are firing hard with NW flow about to kick 10-18 inches of fluff. Colorado is just getting into action. Wyoming as I forecasted scored some surprise dumps at Targhee (12). NW flow magic.
Heavy snow fell across the West over the weekend, and new storms will arrive every 1-2 days this week with significant snow totals expected for many areas. Late-season conditions will remain excellent with additional powder days on the way.
Thanks for reading this summer! For the rest of this week, a cold front moving across the Central Rockies will bring showers & t-storms to WY, CO, & NM Wed-Thu while the West Coast states will see a late-season heat wave. Next week, isolated to scattered showers & t-storms develop across the West with continued mild temps. Heading into mid-month, the PNW will trend wetter and cooler.
