A strong and persistent ridge will remain over northwestern Europe through at least January 20th. Long range models show some signs of a pattern change in the last week of the month.

The final round of snow from this storm cycle moves in on Friday night, bringing a period of moderate to heavy snow through Saturday morning. Once this system departs, dry weather is expected for the next few weeks, thanks to a strong upper-level ridge.
