Windy, warm, and wet conditions prevail in the PNW and Canada with deep numbers likely for the mid to upper peaks of Canada. Northern Washington will grab moderate totals primarily at the summit. Deep totals above 10,000 feet are likely in the San Juan range of Colorado by Tuesday night. More storms lurk on the horizon.

Winds will pick up late today into Monday ahead of system that will bring mountain snow to the region Monday night through Tuesday, perhaps lingering into Wednesday. Weak additional systems are possible this weekend.

A strong storm will impact the Northwest and Western Canada this weekend with precipitation starting as rain at most ski resorts, followed by an eventual changeover to snow Sun-Mon as colder air arrives. Cold air will spill into the Western U.S. early next week with snow developing across the Cascades & Rockies. New England will also pick up some light snow this weekend.
