An active pattern is setting up for the Sierra Range, with one moderate cold storm on Thursday and a wetter but warmer storm due Friday PM/Saturday. Moisture streams north into the Pacific Northwest and BC, with some decent totals later this weekend. Leftovers favor Idaho and Wyoming, as most moisture stays north of Utah and Colorado, which grab lower totals. The extended has some hope!

The remainder of this work week will feature much colder temperatures, lake effect snow, and widespread snowmaking conditions. A warming trend is expected for the weekend with the chance of a system that brings a rain/snow mix.

A storm brought moderate to heavy snow to the Northwest and New England over the weekend. Over the next few days, the Rockies will only see light snow as a storm moving across the West falls apart. The East will see a big warm-up with rain on Monday-Tuesday followed by a changeover back to snow on Wednesday as colder air arrives.
