Moisture will overspread the Sierra Wednesday night, with moderate totals and colder temperatures. A stronger storm with a warm front will bring double digits to the Sierra, Pacific Northwest, western BC, and a few spots in the Rockies.

Partly sunny with some clouds on Wednesday. Quick snowstorm on Thursday. A break Friday with more rain and snow Friday night into Saturday night. A break on Sunday. A final weak system is possible for Monday. A drier pattern is possible starting Tuesday the 17th.

The West will see some welcome snow late this week and into the weekend after a drier start to December. A weak storm will move through on Thursday followed by a stronger storm Friday-Sunday. The Sierra (including Tahoe), Cascades, BC, and Northern Rockies will be favored for the deepest snow totals. The East will see rain & some snow Wed-Thu & again early next week with a warmer airmass in place.
