A nice little prelude to the Holiday weekend as widespread light accumulations have refreshed the slopes nicely on Sat AM. See the 24-hour snowfall list below. And this is just the start, as a few more juicy storms look to add deeper totals Sun into Mon. Frigid air returns Mon through Weds, then moderates considerably to end the week. Mostly dry, but some light amounts are possible.

The Sierra nabbed some big totals in the past three days, with approximately 50 inches at Mammoth and 2-4 feet elsewhere. NW Flow over Utah and Colorado is creating epic 1-2 hour snow intensities and a full-on powder day favoring the north/central mountains. Today will be snorkel deep blow. The next storm favors the PNW and northern Rockies Sunday-Tuesday

A strong storm will impact much of the Western U.S. on Friday and Saturday, then another storm will favor the Northwest and the Rockies from Sunday to Tuesday. Additional storms later next week will favor the Northwest and BC. New England will also see a strong storm this weekend with heavy snow, though sleet and freezing rain will also mix in at some areas.
