The moisture train is very long, chugging along slowly in the PNW and BC all week. By Tuesday, it moves south to the Sierra with storm skiing 9-14 inches. That Train moves east over the Rockies as it speeds up, dumping moderate snow on many areas. The extended is slightly cooler in the PNW, with many more rounds of snow that look a bit better for the Rockies by next weekend with colder air.

This weekend sees three waves produce high accumulations in the maritime mountains. Unfortunately, snow levels have trended upward reaching above 2500' on Sunday-Monday. Late on Monday, cold air returns giving reasons to be optimistic for next week.
