Snow is falling in the Sierra on Monday morning and will increase during the day. Idaho is getting deep near McCall, while the Tetons and Wasatch appear to reap the highest totals in the next 24 hours. By Tuesday, you can chase the storm from CA to either of these regions for deep powder. A few spots in MT score deep, too, with Colorado getting the wrung-out leftovers.
Powder days incoming! A strong storm arrives overnight tonight and continues tomorrow (Tuesday) with heavy snow likely. Additional weaker storms possible for northern Utah Thursday and Saturday.
Heavy snow fell across the West over the weekend, and new storms will arrive every 1-2 days this week with significant snow totals expected for many areas. Late-season conditions will remain excellent with additional powder days on the way.
Thanks for reading this summer! For the rest of this week, a cold front moving across the Central Rockies will bring showers & t-storms to WY, CO, & NM Wed-Thu while the West Coast states will see a late-season heat wave. Next week, isolated to scattered showers & t-storms develop across the West with continued mild temps. Heading into mid-month, the PNW will trend wetter and cooler.
