January 15 and 16 will see warming conditions. Friday, January 17th and Saturday, January 18th will be transition days ahead of a major cold front and modest refresh for the northern mountain between January 19th and 21st. We are also tracking the possibility of a storm during the last few days of January.

As a blocking high-pressure ridge over the west coast forces moisture north and south, cold air will slip into the Rockies this weekend. Moisture will focus on the eastern Rockies but will still provide light snowfall west of the Divide. A pattern change towards the end of January could bring some decent snow totals back to the west. You could score double digits this weekend near the Front Range
