A series of storm systems will make their way through the Northern Rockies this weekend. The first round on Friday brought 24-hour snow totals (as of Sat. AM 12/2) of 7” to Lookout, 5" at Whitefish, and 6” at Big Sky. Two more waves, one cold on Saturday, and one warm'er on Sunday PM will make for one snowy weekend for selective parts of Montana. A series of storms will bring much-needed heavy snow to the Northwest and the Rockies from Friday to Monday, though some areas will see a changeover from snow to rain during the latter stages of this event. The East will also remain in an active pattern with uncertainty regarding a possible snow event in New England on Sunday-Monday, while the Mid-Atlantic could also see some snow next week.
