Two waves of energy are passing over the Pacific Northwest today through Saturday. The main influence of the heaviest snow totals is in the Cascades, Idaho, and northern Montana. The Tetons stand a decent chance of seeing the best leftovers with the Wasatch and Colorado wildcards.
Clouds and sun through Saturday with a few showers possible. Sunny and milder starting Sunday through Wednesday. Next Thursday the 27th the pattern starts to shift back towards a cooler unsettled pattern into the first week of April.
Another storm will impact the West on Fri-Sat, bringing more snow to the Northwest and the Rockies with continued excellent late-season skiing conditions. Starting Sun, a much warmer airmass will take hold over the West with spring skiing conditions taking hold for many areas, while the Northwest will see rain. In the East, New England will see a colder pattern with several shots of snow.
Thanks for reading this summer! For the rest of this week, a cold front moving across the Central Rockies will bring showers & t-storms to WY, CO, & NM Wed-Thu while the West Coast states will see a late-season heat wave. Next week, isolated to scattered showers & t-storms develop across the West with continued mild temps. Heading into mid-month, the PNW will trend wetter and cooler.
