A few scattered snow showers and lake effect continue overnight into Thursday morning with a trace - 4+ inches of snow north and west. A weak storm brings scattered rain on Friday with a small chance of snow in WV and NC. Saturday clears with more unsettled weather by Sunday.

A storm delivered 1-3 feet of snow to many areas in the Northwest and Northern Rockies early this week. Another powerful storm will bring heavy snow to the Northwest Wed-Thu, then the storm will deepen southward into California with massive snow totals possible in Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Range. The Northern Rockies will also get hit late this week, and eventually Colorado as well.
