The Cottonwoods and areas of Park City, Parleys Summit, grabbed cold air and the perfect NW winds that cranked out impressive totals. 2 Feet fell in the Cottonwoods. Moisture streamed into Colorado favoring the resorts from Telluride to Steamboat with leftovers stretching east over the I-70 corridor. Cascades fire next.
Two more storms will impact the West from Wednesday to Saturday with snow favoring the Northwest and the Rockies, and snow conditions will remain excellent. A significant warming trend will begin on Sunday, however. In the East, snow is in the forecast for New England this weekend and early next week.
Wednesday will be our last spring day with changes coming. A storm with a strong cold front will move through Thursday with areas of heavy rain, a t-storm, and gusty winds. This cold front will rapidly drop temperatures Thursday night with areas of snow showers in the northern and western Mid-Atlantic with a trace-3 inches. The weather clears on Friday with a weak storm to the north on Saturday.
