Significant snow totals hit the PNW and most northern Rockies on Sunday morning. Several more feet are expected for Oregon while moisture drops south over the Sierra late Sunday night. Targhee and Jackson Hole's upper mountain picked up 7 inches of snow on Fri night and terrain-driven snow will continue on Sat with more powder for the higher terrain (above 8k), and a big drop-off in snowfall with elevation. Another round arrives on Sun but winds will be very strong all day with lift holds likely. Another storm will bring snow Mon-Tue.
An active pattern will continue across the West with multiple strong storms expected this weekend and next week. All major ski regions from the Southwest to Canada are favored. The East will remain in a spring-like pattern with rain expected on Sunday.
