    Another High Elevation Snow Event

    3 days ago Luke Stone

Another warm but wet storm with significant high-elevation snow is underway in the Alps. Similar locations in the southern Alps are expected to see the most snow. Snow levels are higher than those of the major mid-April storm, but the upper elevations will see another big dump.

Big Storm Over, More Snow This Week

    18 days ago Luke Stone

The storm last week delivered major snow totals and came with a host of problems, including high avalanche danger, prolonged power outages, and road and rail closures. The upper elevation snowpack has benefited greatly, and more snow is forecasted for this week. This will be the final forecast post of the season, and I'll have a brief season recap post sometime in the next week.
