Snow is back! Two storms will bring snowfall to mostly northern Utah mountains now through Saturday. Colder air is also going to return, but will be making its way into the region gradually. An active pattern looks increasingly likely heading toward President's Day weekend.

The messy warm storm continues in the central Rockies and Sierra through Friday. The parent, low off the coast of the PNW, continues to spin waves into the region, with cold air trapped in the PNW and northern Rockies and warm, moist flow aimed at the Sierra. A cold front advances into the Sierra and central Rockies Friday with chase-worthy snow.

February has come in like a lion this year with strong storms, heavy snow (and rain), and sharp temperature differences across the West and the East. An active pattern is expected to continue for the foreseeable future with frequent storms from coast to coast.
