Snow trickles into the Rockies late this weekend, favoring the northern areas before fizzling over Colorado by Sunday/Monday.

We remain under high pressure in Utah with mostly clear, mild weather at elevation and inversions in the valleys. A weak system will bring a chance for snow to far northern Utah early next week. A pattern change could increase our chances of snow toward mid-month.

A favorable pattern will remain in place across the East with cold temperatures, and a storm will also bring widespread moderate snow to New England. A storm will move into the West over the weekend and into early next week with snow favoring the Northwest and the Rockies, though some parts of the Northwest will see predominantly rain with warmer air in place.
