WHAT...Northeast to east winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph for slopes and 40 to 50 mph with gusts exceeding 100 mph along ridge tops possible. Maximum ridge gusts could approach 150 mph along the Sierra crest.
WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area mainly above 6500 feet, Southern Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra Counties above 6000 feet, and northern Mono County above 7500 feet.

IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Lake conditions on Lake Tahoe will be dangerous with waves 3 to 6 feet along the western shore. Wave action may cause erosion and potentially some damage as well.
