Unseasonably warm conditions exist in the west. Later this week, a cold front will move into the PNW and Sierra, bringing some snowfall back. Interior BC might be chaseable as well. Cold air tracks from the Sierra to the northern Rockies over the weekend while it stays warmer in the central and southern regions. Snow will return to the west with the colder air. The extended forecast might be deep!
Scattered and upslope snow showers continue across portions of New England with several inches of accumulation across the northern mountains from Tuesday. The unsettled weather continues with snow (or mixed precipitation) likely every day through next week.
A couple of nice days of spring in the West will turn to a stormy pattern with several rounds of snow through next week. Cold northwest flow will bring good powder conditions through many Western U.S. states. In the East, active storms will take a northerly track and bring rain, confining cold air and snow to the northern tiers.
