The East is experiencing a very active pattern with new storms arriving every couple of days, and this trend looks to continue for the foreseeable future. The Mid-Atlantic will see challenges with mixed precipitation while New England will see significant snow totals. Following a brief lull, the pattern will also turn active again across the West during the second half of this week.

Moderate snow in the short term Tuesday night to Wednesday over Colorado and New Mexico. Stronger moisture surge blasts the Sierra and much of the Rockies Thursday-Saturday. 3-4 inches of moisture are possible with decent cold front. 2-4 Feet for many areas.

It's going to be a downright chilly next week or two. Models are still waffling about the storm late next week with one model taking it too far south and another model having it brush southern Idaho. Let's dig in!
