Snow is falling above 4,000 feet in many areas of the Cascades. Some areas appear to have picked up a foot elevation dependant with several more inches due on Friday. Leftovers drag into the Rockies this weekend and early next week. Mid-next week could be deeper.

An active pattern will continue across the West with two more storms over the next five days. These storms will favor the Northwest and the Rockies for the deepest totals with lighter amounts in the Sierra. Temperatures will also remain colder than average through early next week. In the East, a mild pattern will continue with above-average temperatures.
