Moisture will overspread the Sierra Wednesday night, with moderate totals and colder temperatures. A stronger storm with a warm front will bring double digits to the Sierra, Pacific Northwest, western BC, and a few spots in the Rockies.

A series of weak storms will move into Utah over the next week, bringing chances for snow to mainly the mountains of northern Utah. However, accumulations look generally modest and we may return to a dry pattern in the week leading up to Christmas holiday.

The West will see some welcome snow late this week and into the weekend after a drier start to December. A weak storm will move through on Thursday followed by a stronger storm Friday-Sunday. The Sierra (including Tahoe), Cascades, BC, and Northern Rockies will be favored for the deepest snow totals. The East will see rain & some snow Wed-Thu & again early next week with a warmer airmass in place.
