Another nice weather day for Thursday. Cooler with showers increasing Friday afternoon. Snow showers are possible Friday night through Sunday afternoon. Spring weather returns starting Monday through the long-range.

The winter of 2024-2025 featured near to above average snowfall across the Sierra, Central/Northern Rockies, and much of the East. Snowpack is currently melting at a faster rate than usual across much of the West due to warmer and drier conditions so far in April. Looking ahead, a storm will bring high-elevation snow showers to the Sierra & the Rockies from late this week through early next week.

A slight chance for showers exists today, Friday. But other than that, the closing weekend for skiing in SoCal should be sunny and beautiful. Next week will see temps in the 50s, but a trough will push cooler air into the region by the end of the work week. Precip chances remain low going into the end of the month.
