Ski fields across Aotearoa open this weekend after a strong storm dumped snow, especially at Mt Hutt with over 1 m. The Southern Lakes picked up 15–25 cm. Cold temps and snowmaking have prepped the slopes, and sunny weather is expected for Opening Day.
