It's absolutely hammering in parts of the Alps on Friday morning, and some of the heaviest snow is yet to come. Snow totals are approaching 1.5 m already in some spots, and snow levels are dropping below what the models were predicting. At the same time, the avalanche danger is extreme, and heavy rainfall is creating a significant risk of flooding and landslides.
