It will be a nice Sunday to get out and grab the two-part storm that hit Colorado Saturday and Saturday night. It's snowing in BC and WA. Temperatures in the west soar, especially by midweek when snow levels in BC hit 7000 feet and in the Rockies above 10,000 feet. Look for summer-like conditions. It will be colder late next week, with snow likely favoring the PNW and BC. Leftovers in the Rockies
1-9 inches since late Friday night. Lingering snow showers and clouds on Sunday morning. Partly sunny and warmer on Monday. Sunny skies and mild temps on Tuesday and Wednesday. More cloud coverage on Thursday and Friday. Off-and-on snow returns next weekend (March 29-30) and continues into early April.
Saturday's storm delivered 5-9 inches of snow to the higher elevations of the northern and central mountains, and some of this snow will be fresh and soft on Sunday morning. Looking ahead, Sunday through Friday will be dry with many very warm days, and then the weather pattern should become cooler and snowier starting around Saturday, March 29th.
Another storm will impact the West on Fri-Sat, bringing more snow to the Northwest and the Rockies with continued excellent late-season skiing conditions. Starting Sun, a much warmer airmass will take hold over the West with spring skiing conditions taking hold for many areas, while the Northwest will see rain. In the East, New England will see a colder pattern with several shots of snow.
Thanks for reading this summer! For the rest of this week, a cold front moving across the Central Rockies will bring showers & t-storms to WY, CO, & NM Wed-Thu while the West Coast states will see a late-season heat wave. Next week, isolated to scattered showers & t-storms develop across the West with continued mild temps. Heading into mid-month, the PNW will trend wetter and cooler.
