Taos nabbed 2" of snow and Ski Santa Fe scored a dusting to help cover the nasty dust from Tuesday's storm. Wednesday will be our last cold day before a 7-day warming period. I am eyeing a late March storm.
The Cottonwoods and areas of Park City, Parleys Summit, grabbed cold air and the perfect NW winds that cranked out impressive totals. 2 Feet fell in the Cottonwoods. Moisture streamed into Colorado favoring the resorts from Telluride to Steamboat with leftovers stretching east over the I-70 corridor. Cascades fire next.
Thanks for reading this summer! For the rest of this week, a cold front moving across the Central Rockies will bring showers & t-storms to WY, CO, & NM Wed-Thu while the West Coast states will see a late-season heat wave. Next week, isolated to scattered showers & t-storms develop across the West with continued mild temps. Heading into mid-month, the PNW will trend wetter and cooler.
