Colorado Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Colorado Daily Snow

Major bummer...dust, and lots of it. I talked about this possibility here and there over the last few days, but I was so excited about the fresh snow that I didn't write much more about it.

You can clearly see it streaming into Colorado from Arizona and northern New Mexico. I'm in Boulder right now but I've heard it's super dusty around Wolf Creek and the snow along I-70 is orange. This will continue for about another 12-18 hours until the winds switch from southwest to northwest.

Dust is a problem because it makes the snowpack darker, which absorbs more sunlight and thus melts more quickly. And of course ski conditions take a nosedive with the dust.

Let's hope for some decent snow and northwest winds Wednesday afternoon and again Friday night to hopefully cover up the dust.
